Praising the French Model

Now those aren’t words you would commonly hear from Americans or such a pro Anglo-Saxon newspaper as the Economist. Definitely an interesting read. I think this is a debate that needs to be had, and the idea of a large social net has its pros and cons. One thing I would definitely like to emulate here in the US is France’s commitment to high speed rail and nuclear energy. Our airline industry is a disaster and frankly, air travel is not as efficient as it seems. Only Nuclear energy has the answer to global warming and energy independence in any reasonable time frame.
