Shelter, or burden?

Great article on the pros and cons of homeownership. It’s particularly interesting because you hear so much talk from politicians and the like that homeownership is essential to a properly functioning society. I think this article points out what these politicians seem to either not understand or purposely gloss over: correlation does not necessarily equal causality. It maybe true that high homeownership tends to indicate desirable social outcomes, but it is it the cause? More proof that nothing is just black and white.
